Flea Trap

I grew up with a house full of pets. We had three dogs, two cats and countless fish. My parents taught us to love animals and my brothers and I certainly do. I now have two dogs myself and they are my best friends. Dodger and Bo love to run around and play outside. It seems like they can run in the woods for hours and they do always come back. I did learn the hard way that letting your dogs run freely outside does come with some consequences, but now I know how to plan for those consequences.

Last year we developed a huge flea infestation problem. The dogs had brought them in from the woods and they took over the downstairs of my home. I have the dog collars that are supposed to keep fleas away but apparently they didn’t work properly. If you have ever had you house infested with fleas you know how bad it can be. Not only is it bad, it is really embarrassing if you have company over and they go home with fleas in their hair. My infestation was horrible and I called the exterminator. A nice gentleman came out and treated our house. It did work to get rid of the fleas but it came at a hefty cost. The exterminator told me there was a simple way to fight any future problems before they even start. The flea trap.

There are many different types of flea traps. They come in all shapes and sizes and most of them work pretty well. The key is to have them out before you need them. Flea traps attract fleas and then catch them. If you are prepared and have flea traps strategically placed around your house, any fleas that are brought into your home will get trapped before they have a chance to breed and infest your place. I found some great deals by shopping online and buying several at a time. There are even some online retailers that will offer free shipping on your order of flea traps. Getting a head start on any flea infestation is very important if you have pets or live in the country.
