Natural treatment for fleas?

My beagle has been suffering with fleas or so from the day he was born. I tried everything frontline flea bombs, flea collars, etc etc etc. And from my vets an idiot he is convinced there is nothing wrong, but my dogs always scratch and I am always finding fleas on him! Do any of you know some of the natural methods or products that I can try? Thanks to all!

Sprinkle with borax and leave for 48 hours, then vacuum. Keep pets and children away during treatment. Or wet pieces of newspaper with oil of cedar, scatter these on the floor, under beds or in the carpet and leave overnight. Fleas will gather in the newspaper, and you can put, press and all, into plastic bags and dispose of them in the trash bin. OF MATTRESSES: Place some sprigs of mint under the mattresses. or dissolve within 3 blocks of camphor in 2 cups of burning spirits, and rub on the mattress and furniture nearby. A TREAT STINGS: rub with tea tree oil. Pyrethrum Spray: The concentration is pyrethrums at its peak when the flowers are in full bloom, from the time the first row of flowers open in the central disk opens in time all the flowers are open. Add 1 quart of boiling water to half a cup of firmly packed flowers. Let cool, strain and add 1 teaspoon of pure soap. Shake well before use.
